I am fixing to have to rebuild a 22 hp kohler. Does anyone know how much horsepower will be gained if I bore it out .020 or .010?

if you boring it out just for extra hp then don't spend the cash. just rebuild it to specs. you won't feel the difference on a 20 over bore.

really the best way to get more hp if your going to spend all that money with a bore job then put maybe 400$ more to what you would pay a mechanic and buy a 25 hp command pro.

I suspect the net gain will be very little, if any. Keep in mind that to gain Hp with a larger bore, you need more air and fuel. Since the carb will be the same, I assume, there won't be any change in air/fuel delivery. What you might gain is a little more torque--maybe 2-4 in/lbs. Nothing that will give you whiplash.
