replaced magneto, put back together starts ok however recoil now doesn't recoil properly. i wound the recoil back up before reinserting back into cup, seems that the springs is ok. please advise

assume :rolleyes: that you have some slack rope that doesn't enter housing when starting? If so I usually pull out enough for one more revolution and reinstall with the extra tension. Do it to myself often enough I should remember.(rewrap rope, or use new rope and knot the handle last works)
