Stupid question here......
I've seen alot of guys on here building firepits out of precast wall block. How does the block stand up to the amount of heat created by the fire? Will it split, crack, crumble over time at all??? I know some natural stones pop or break under intense heat and was just curious as to how well these held up. Looking pretty good by the way Kootomotto!

I think it will break or explode if it is not firebrick.

That is exactly my concern but still see alot of guys building with them and was wondering what the results were.

Unilock (the product we used in this patio) "endorse" the product usage in firepits.....see link.

Very interesting Kootoomootoo. You learn something new everyday. Is that a special product aside from their typical wall block? Or is all their wall block able to with stand the heat like that? Just curious. Looking good :D
