Hey Eggy. For one thing it seems to me that there
is better balance on the spindles w doubles.
They may try to blame a bad spindle or what
ever on it though. So how they gonna know.
If I find that it taxes the motor or blade
drive a lot more Id feel obligated to let
the dealer know about it.Think I would do it anyway though
as it makes quite a difference.I havnt cut the thick wet stuff yet w doubles.Ill just let the mower show me
what is necessary in those conditions.still a junior doubler.

I e-mailed Scag corp.
double blades void warranty they also frowned on
stripe kits like the chains on the back of DC's
but how would they know if you would remove them before service work is done ???

K. Roll

When you sent your inquirery to Scag did you mention to them that the chains are attached to the rear of the unit between the drive tires in such a manner so that there is no contact with the wheels or cutting deck??

Did you also ask them about their thoughts of rollers mounted at the rear of the cutting decks??

I am curious because we have an Scag STHM 3 wheel rider.

The best answer is just put single blades on it when you take it to the shop for anything. they won't know you had doubles on it. This is the best thing to do!!!!!!!
