I am always amazed what folks do to there grass.
Im driving to Monroe the other day.One right after another
of yds just shaved.Thing about it is theyll keep it
that way all yr.The other thing about it is there
neatly shaved lawn will survive.
I think they think thats a beautiful yd.No matter that it
is faded yellow-green .Some seem to think LCOs believe in cutting 3inch or better so the grass will grow more
and we can get more cuts in.
Its just hard to understand how their grass lives through
it much less looking good.

We have those types around here as well. My favorites are those that like to cut it once a month in a sqaure pattern and leave that maze look about the lawn.

Yes people just do not understand that cutting it shorter means it grows faster. I love the statement, "I can not cut mine taller it looks really bad in 2 days". Ha ha. They would not know, they have never tried it. Taller lawns have a smoother appearance, and look neater after a few days than short lawns.

I have always been a firm believer that the higher you cut, the better it is for the grass and your equipment.I cut at 3 1/4" always. If they want it shorter, find someone else to kill your lawn.

Many of the crabgrass lawns around here are yellow now, but hey, they'll be green shortly.
