Can you mail flyers to random addresses from the phone book? Or will I get in trouble doing that.

Hi... I just wanted to let you know that you can mail flyers to random people but it will cost you much more than if you set up a direct mail advertising contract with the postal service. Here in Canada, you can select based on the area you want to target or you can select who you want to mail to based on income or age statistics as well. I don't know if you can get that kind of selection in US but you will certainly save money on the mailings if you do it through the postal service. Here it costs about 7 cents per flyer to do direct mail advertising where a normal letter costs over 50 cents.
