i am thinking about buying a compact loader/tractor this season. is there any web sites on prices (book value) or bluebook prices ?

Anthony,I have been looking on and off for 4 yrs for a used Compact-I think they are made of Gold-if you can find a good deal-go for it,everything Ive looked at was either whipped and beat-or so expensive that you might as well buy it new and get the peice of mind and warranty,as long as your paying so much.

Go to your banker and ask him what he'll loan ya on one. He'll let ya know what it is worth right quick. My loan officer has appraisal books on farm equipment, which I am sure has compact tractors and loaders. If your banker doesn't have the books, I bet he can find some. If he knows what a tractor is.

That's the beauty of compact tractors such as New Holland and Deere, they just do not lose their value. You pay almost as much for a used one (within a couple of years) as you do a new one. I have been doind alot of research and shopping too. I guess the good thing is, is that it helps us justify it as an investment.
