My Walker Deal !!

Just picked up my Walker about an hour ago. Thanks for the help on the price. Here is the final deal: 97 GHS, 42", 20hp, 632 hours, dealer maintained, 2 extra new tires, 2 sets of blades, 1 gallon of oil, new oil filter, extra new front tire + practically new Shindaiwa 230 weed eater. price = $3500.

The only thing I see that may need some attention is the PTO gear box oil. It looks dirty but does not smell burned. The manual says that it is sealed but can be changed. Does anybody know how to get to the drain plug on the bottom of the PTO box ? What kind of gear oil do you use ? Thanks.

Great deal,
Gearbox access. use a hex head wrench that is similar to the size that is on top of the gearbox. I take the deck off and run it up on some auto ramps. While you are under there it wont hurt to change the oil in the gear axles newt to both wheels. A hex head wrench does this also. Walkers new models have a hex head plug that has a magnet tip for good reason. Both gearboxes run great on Mobil 1 GEAR oil. I'd highly recommend doing this, you won't regret it. I will share my good fortune as well. 6 weeks ago I got a 2000 Walker 42 GHS 20HP Kohler, large catcher and duaL tailwheel---135 HOURS !!! part time owner with 15 lawns per week !!! selling because of divorse for $6000. not even broken in.
More than I wanted to spend, but its like new minus $3000 with tax.
