Flagstone patio

I am about to start on a flagstone patio that will be laid out on an existing concrete slab. The concrete is in excellent shape, so no work needs to be done on the existing patio. I've installed flagstone patios before, but never over an existing patio. Any tips or suggestions. What kind of mortor would you use.

I like type s mortar mix and still add a little more portland. Remember to keep it stiff when laying. Come back with the mortar bag to do the joints...let dry a litttle, point it and wipe with sponge to clean off. Remember to have the client mist the project to keep the mortar joints curing slower and reduce the cracking on hot dry days.
