Just wanted to check if there is ever any use for abrasive sprays or wettable powders; therefore creating the need need for a back pack sprayer w/ a diapragm pump.

I would go with the diaphram any way its usually not much more. I have an add on service for things like wasp and hornet nests or carpenter ants Ect. I bought a solo piston pump and without thinking sprayed a wettable powder Insecticide threw it. Well then i had to buy the upgrade kit which turned out to be more in the long run than buying the diaphram in the first place).

Thanks Greenquest. I was thinking of getting the piston over the diaphragm. I thought there was an concern about the drift issue and the droplet size.
But I also understand that those fancy brass nozzles are fully adjustable for any spray pattern...
Then why two different pumps?
Now I really know that I dont know!
Any info to help straighten me out?
