is there any rules of thumb of what a lawn business can be sold for. is it a multiple of sales?

"Thats a Loaded Question"...........best to have as many signed contracts, [ percentage of renewal accounts],last years totals / and expenses, a monthly profitability report, and separate your equipment[ most guys already have or already have a preferance, unless you're ta;lking new stuff[ low miles / hours].....lots of varibles, and lots of different opinions? :rolleyes:

of course minimum would be the equipment value
but no norms????

DON'T forget a right to compete clause. The last thing you want to do is buy the business then have the previous owner start up again and take back your customers.
