ok, this is a more detailed follow up to a question i had last week, so i figured dudes sq/ft and the prices for the matierals....
a guy has 55,000 sq/ft of soil that needs some help. i need to put down 10lbs of 13-13-13 per 1000 sq/ft and 50lbs of lime per thousand sq/ft. 13-13-13 costs about $15 for 50lb bag and lime costs about the same per 50lb bag.

well this was how i figured it and im guessing that i could def be wrong.

$5 per 1,000 sq/ft of 13-13-13 which would be $275 for that app.
$10 per 1,000 sq/ft for lime which would be $550 for that app.

now i need to do this twice so his soil will be decent enough to grow healthier grass and $775 per trip sounds nice to me but im not sure if thats right. could someone help me out with this? Thanks

10lbs of 13-13-13 seems a bit much, at that rate your getting 1.3lbs of n per 1/k. a rate of 6lbs per 1/k would give you .78lbs of n per 1/k. If there is no desirable turf present then your rate would be fine otherwise i might cut back on the fert. As for cost 10lb of 13-13-13 per 1/k on 55k of grass would be 550lbs of product @ a cost of 15per bag = $165 in fert cost. $250 to $275 is good. lime, your going to need 2750 lbs of lime ( 50lbs x 55/k ) , 55bags x $15 = $825. depending on what you have to apply this massive amount of lime $ 250 on top of cost by tractor or no frigin way by push spreader. you may want to cut down the rate of lime in half and do two apps 30 days apart. Your still going to have to spread 1375lbs of lime, 27.5 bags no less $500 on top of cost to spread that much.
$15 a bag for lime is way to high check around $3-$5 should be the range.
