Is Scag made by Catapillar?

My Scag dealer told me that Scag is made by Catapillar anyone know if this is true? He also said briggs and stratton engines are made by toyota.

MetalCraft of Mayville does contract metal work (what their business is) for Cat along with a host of other companies including but not limited to G.E.

So if Scag is made by Cat I guess GE helps out. :)

So then all mowers that have that engine in them are classified as Toyotas. So I think if toyota is making our mowers we should be getting an employee discount. :p
