Best Way to Cut Out Deck??

I've got a ATZ with a 72" deck - what is the best way to enlarge the opening, hacksaw, oxy-acetylene torch, plasma cutter. Any suggestions?

Once I start cutting there is no going back and I want to know what others have done - to save me making a mistake.

I have seen dealers do it easily with a die grinder and cutting disc.

There is a diagram for this .if you have it I used a sawsall and a hand grinder to smooth out the edges but first you need to reweld under side of the deck
about an 1 1/2 in. towards the back as this peice you are cutting out is the old weld in all 1 1/2 wide x 15 deg. towards the back of the deck you will love
the difference if you have a bagger ck the opening first

a 4" grinder with cutoff blade... Very easy!
