I will be lookin to get a new truck soon. I am thinking of a 1/2 ton dodge 4 door long bed. The reason is I don't use my truck for pullin enough currently. I mean I pull a dump trailer maybe 3 times a year. I was thinkin of a 3/4 t diesel BUT I only travel 8-12 k a year. Hell my ram I got in NOV now has just hit 8600 miles. I don't do much scapin but when it is done I have all delivered. I use the bed to haul leaves in the fall and occasionally grass. What u think? I tow a 5x10 and furthest lawn is 9 miles the rest all are within 3 miles of eachother

Get a 3/4 ton diesel. You don't need it but diesels are a lot more fun to drive than a gas. :D

I would suggest a 3/4 ton crew cab gas long box, if you are watching your budget. A diesel engine will add up to $7K to your bill. If you are only traveling 8-10K a year the gas would be best choice, with diesel prices being more than regular gas and the low miles you are traveling it would take years to recoup the cost of the diesel.

The 3/4 didn't get repoed. I just thought for the price of the 1/2 ton I could get the crew cab long bed for the same price of the 3/4 std cab. My price is already $570 a month. I figure the price savins I could go get an old beater 1 ton to beat around in and the 1/2 ton to do estimates after it's paid off. Plus I don't use the 3/4 near enough/ I towed a dump trailer 4 times in the past year. Not worth it. I can rent one if needed.
