Aerating and Overseeding Question

I am planning on aerating and overseeding in a few weeks for my own lawn only and I have a question. Would it still be considered "overseeding" if I aerated the lawn with my Mantis Aerator and then used my Earthway Spreader to spread a grass seed on the lawn or would I need to rent an actual overseeder?

overseeding is just what you described. you could rent a slit seeder if you wanted to, but it's not really necessary. slit seeding will yeild better results than just spreading seed after areating.
