I have had my TBC 2510 trimmer for about four years now and it has worked great up until last week. I only mow a few lawns so it doesn't have a lot of hours on it. While I was using it the other day, it just quit running and now it won't crack. I have pulled the plug and it is firing, so I'm guessing it must be a fuel problem. Does anyone know what might be wrong? Any advice is appreciated.

Also, the string spool in the head has one of the "hooks" broken on it. Does anyone know of a competitively priced online source for Tanaka parts?

I tried changing out the fuel tank vent as Dalton at Tanaka suggested, but this was not the problem. It turns out that the problem was the spark plug. Even though the plug was firing, it wasn't "hot" enough. I replaced the plug and it fired right up. My local dealer says they have never had a fuel system problem with a Tanaka's and they think very highly of them. I agree. The repair cost me $2.20. My faith in Tanaka has been restored.
