I live in Minnesota and some of the guys tell me that spraying at the proper time in the fall (combined w/ spring app) can really help control the dandelions in the spring. Does anyone know if, and what time of year in the fall the dandelions germinate or at what temperature?

In your area that will probably actively grow again later this month. This is the best time of the year to control them!!

the last two weeks of this month, is a great time to apply broadleaf up here.

once they are popping up again, giving you plenty of foliage to target, but before they seed out again. Elimination of seed potential before it becomes seed has much greater returns than trying to prevent germination at the next growing point. That means kill all that you can now to fight a smaller next generation next spring.
