When pressure washing a deck, is it necessary to seal it after it dries? Also, does anyone have any recommendations as far as a good soap to inject into the machine? I just purchased a new pressure washer and have only used one in the past when i rented so soap was never really an option. Anyway, thanks for the feedback!

A presure washer will clean up a deck pretty darn good with just water. I have never used soap before on wood decks.

Just a little bit of 50/50 bleach water works for me. Kills off the mold and fungus till you get it sealed.

I agree with Dave. I think its like 1 oz. of bleach per gallon of water/soap mixture. I would avoid using them on the decks because the water will splinter the wood and then cause them to crack. The best method is to get the UV remover and apply that. Then scrap it off and rinse with the hose gently. By forcing the water into the wood grains it does nothing but harm.
