About 9 years ago, I got a Red Max trimmer and it was a lemon. We ended up taking it back, but 3 years ago, I got a Red Max EB6200 that has been fantastic. I forgot to drain out the gas and run it out last fall. It had about 1 cup of mix in it 2 days ago when I went out to clean up my lawn. I primed it, put on the choke, and on the second pull it was running.
From what I read here, the members here are having good luck with the Red Max trimmers too. We run Shindaiwa trimmers, power broom and have one small 42cc b/p blower. It seems they are both good brands to buy now.

All my 2cyl is Redmax and Snindiawa but I've used Stihl in the past. Redmax makes the best backpack blower in my opinion and their trimmers are tough and lightweight but Stihl has a better trimmer head design with less parts to get lost in the feild. Good luck, Russ
Thanks for the input Eric, Boy I'm hearing alot about these Shindaiwa's, think I'll give them a look..
Try a Shindaiwa. They have a 7 day money back guarantee.

Red max eb7000 is the best in my book, sure blows my br400 away.
NO, complaints with my red max trimmers!!!
Thanks guys for the info been using sthil for years and have had some problems lately. I try looking into those brand that you mentioned...
Thanks again...
I have the Redmax EB-6200 backpack blower and the Shindaiwa T-230 trimmer. They're both great.

I haven't used an EB7000, but I do own a EB6200. I used it today in fact. :)
Anyway, I would like to try a EB7000 since I can't see a big improvement. The EB7000 has the EXACT same EFI as the EB6200 and only 1 MPH more wind speed, but weighs about 3 lbs. more. I can't see carrying that extra 3 lbs. for 1 more MPH of air speed.
How much more is the EB7000 over the EB6200?

Has anybody tried the new Redmax Strato-charged trimmers? I tried one of the new Stihls last year (the powerhead made by Redmax I think) and I didn't like it. I run my trimmers without the guard and the engine would bog down if you had the string out more than what the guard would normally allow. I have an old 2600 trimmer that I absolutely can't wear out. I would love to get another one because I'm leary of the new ones.

I have had a Redmax B260 for 11 years, and a B262 for about 9 years. The Red Max heads I think are kind of goofy (about 8" diameter), but the rest of the machine is great, and I just put an aftermarket head on them.
I also have a Red Max blower (8years old). I think I may have to rebuild the carb this year (first time).
Overall great machines.

My backpack blower is a RedMax Eb7000 and I love it. My trimmer is a Kawasaki and every other hand held piece of equipment is Shindawa. I think that I have the best there is.
We have the 6200 blowers and bcz2500s strato charged weedeaters and a few stickedgers.
All work well. As a previous post stated, the heads on the weedeater suck, it is very hard to pull it apart to refill the line, however echo heads easily fit on them, or any other aftermarket head.
I am like you, I have Stihl blowers but my friend went to shindiawa and likes it alot better than the 400s and 420s. I used it and it felt heavier. Need to check the power to wieght ratio. Red max has a good rep but we dont have that many dealers that i know of in our area.

Have the Redmax 7000. Absolutely love it. By far the best I've used. Also use nothing buy Shindaiwa trimmers. Hard to get parts, but they are tough and reliable.

Two redmax 7001 blowers, love them. All shindaiwa trimmers with stihl heads, and shin stick edgers. Love them too. Can't go wrong with either.

I have tried Shindaiwa, Stihl, Echo, and Now have a new Red Max trimmer. The Shindaiwa will be hard to beat. There is no comparison on the EB 7001 Blower. It is the best I have owned.

Made a switch last year from Stihl trimmers to Redmax. Seem pretty even up to me I guess. Have not switched backpack blowers yet.

I just noticed that myself LOL, I've come to the conclusion that all the companies are so close now that it's pretty much personal preference more than anything. The guy at the the local supply house told me to get which ever had the best deal going on at the time, all the top brands are so closely matched it doesn't matter anymore.

Yup. I wanted a red max, but my dealer dropped them. I do have a echo 770h and sthil br600 magnum. Both are about the same. I don't care for the small tube end on the sthil, it pushes back and kills my arm after an hour or do.
