View Full Version : Need Help Finding an Aerator

I've been looking at different aerators online. The problem I have is that the last aerator I used beat me to death and about dragged me across the yard. I thought about buying a pull behind but I'm unsure if my toro ztr will handle it, and if it will how I go about attaching a bracket to pull the aerator.

I just spent the last 6 hours using the plugr pl800. Smooth sailing. I'm not all beat to hell like using my old ryan walk behind.

Where can I find prices and dealers for plugr aerators?

That would be http://www.plugr.com/

Everyone i know that has one on this site really likes them. To bad they are so expensive compared to the amount of use they get a year. Problem is people in my area are doing aerations for 7.50 per 1K which isn't much so it is better to rent than to buy an expensive aerator.

I thought about renting but no one in this area carries them. Everyone has Ryan.

a little off subject, but i have a Blue bird ( I think ) that I bought used from a local rental place. Trouble is it's only 4hp so it needs the rpms up and than ground speed is more than these old bones like. Has any one changed sprockets or somethink to slow one of these down? Thanks.

I just used a Ryan for about 6 hours and I hated it! It kills the operator and is so damn slow when trying to turn. I know when I goto purchase a walk behind aerator I will be buying from plugr.

I have been using a Lesco for the last 3 days done about 350,000 Square ft with it and am definitely looking for something else. The Plugr looks like the Jakes I used to use at the golf course they worked well but were slow. How is the Plugr speed wise?

ncmedic, the above posts are correct - the Ryan la28 will beat the tar out of you. I just purchased a plugr 800 with the Honda engine.... about $3100 but so far it has been worth it. Good luck.

If anyone needs a Plugr pl800 with the honda Motor, I have one more for sale for $2600. I've sold 2 in the past month to lawnsite users.

I originally ordered 5 of the machines, but really only need two walkbehinds right now. I'm going to order 2 of the Z-Plug ride-on aerators this week.

The Plugr PL800 is still boxed/crated on a pallet. Never opened. First come-first serve. Pm or email me at wholesalers at comcast.net if interested.

ncmedic581..go to turfco.com and look at the aerators you can ride behind on a sulky. They have them in two sizes for big lawns and bigger lawns or you can drop the sulky and drive them like a mower. they roll like the ryan so you do not have any machinery jumping up and down.
