just curious. you guys eat out for lunch when mowing or pack a sack lunch or go back home for lunch.
once or twice a week i'll eat out at one of the restaurants we mow, otherwise i just mow straight through and eat when im done for the day. once in a rare occasion i'll pack a lunch or get a burrito at a gas station.

McDonald's dollar value menu (double cheeseburger, mcchicken, fishfilet) or Taco Bell's 89 cent soft tacos, 3 dollars/day, eat with a cup of water in the truck.
I could pack some sandwiches but then that would involve a cooler and more hassle, it's just as worth the 3 dollars.

I pack a lunch - usually two coolers, one with drinks/lunch,another with drinks only. The route does not matter, just drop the tailgate for a place to sit and eat, then get on with the day's work. Doing it this way saves much time, even though I may be close to home. Further, I can pack what I want to eat, not what somebody happens to have on a menu.
I don't even stop for lunch. I bring a cooler and eat a sandwich while driving to the next job. Once I start working, I hate to stop until my route is finished.

I have a refrigerator and microwave in my trailer, so I take just about anything I want for lunch. I also have a porta pot.

And most days I don't even bring anything to eat... just a couple Gatorade and some water with a cup of mud (aka coffee) in the morning.

Gatorade and water thru the day. Beef jerky and salty snacks I can eat on the run. Lately I've started on sunflower seeds. Is it possible that they are addicting? I can't seem to stop.

I do both. One week I'll pack a lunch, then the next week I'll stop somewhere. I get tired of eating the same things, so I try and change it up.

Funny about the seeds. I started eating them last week. I go through a bag a day. My tongue is still kinda numb.
To answer the question I just grab something while im out.

Fast Food is really expensive. A decent meal that would fill me usually costs around $7.
Considering I can make a lunch and pack it for less than $1 or so a day, its worth it to me.
$7 x 5 x 4.3 = $150.50 a month on buying food, compared to $30 or so.

I pack lunch most all the time. It's healthier, less expensive, and time efficient. I eat it on the go between stops. I've got some times when eating at home in the afternoon works out.

When my guys are cutting, I stop by my parents house, raid the fridge and watch Jerry Springer with my Dad.When we do landscaping projects I pack a lunch.
