Guys, How long would it take 4-5 guys to install 7K square ft of sod? The time should not include any prep(new loam already laid) or cleanup. Also, is $1.50/sq foot a good price?

Also, How late can I lay it?

$1.50 per sq ft is waaay to high. Did you mean per sq yd? If so, your a little low. Here, I get sod delivered for $100.00 per pallet. I charge $100.00 per pallet to install. No prep work. Each pallet is 500 sq ft, so thats 14 pallets to lay 7k sq ft. at 200 per pallet installed is 2800.00.

According to the guy, he got other qoutes and I was within everyone else. How long do you think it will take to lay 7k square ft with 3-5 guys? Also how late can it be laid?

Plan on a long day. $1.50 per sq ft is $10500.00 for 7K ft.. That's a lot. Again, did you mean per Sq Yd$$
anywhere from 3 to 5 hours depending on number of people, you can lay it anytime as long as they can cut it.

Its looking like second week of october if we get it, they still need to do the sprinklers. Is this too late? the soil is still warm so Id believe that the roots would germinate.

it all depends what you have to cut around . me and one guy did 7 pallets in 3 hrs and we had alot of cutting to do on the blvd strip . i would say about hrs if the people doing the work know what they are doing.
