don't really want to do this because i have no experience, but the old guy said " i don't trust no one but you , you can do it....."

1300 sqft, already black top, just need to seal the cracks and squeegee on the new black top coating....

for this one time job i have to go to blowes and get the material... i know it cost more, but this is the only driveway i need to do...

what should i get to seal the cracks, how do you apply it, how much material to seal the drive way, applied with a squeegee

how much to charge for labor.....i appreciate any responses, as i said i don't want to do this but it has been thrust on me, so i must...

i was interested in learning how to do this anyway, but not so quickly....im going to do my neighbors first for free minuse material so it isnt my first try...

please help, he is my biggest mowing client.... 3.5 acres...

Figure that a five gallon bucket will cover approximate 400 square feet with a squeegee get more than what you need and if you have to, take back the extra, buy your crack filler at Menadr,s if you have one near you. Buy a small brush to attach to a broom handle for the edges. Good luck.

Depends on weather the surface was previously sealed and how well the old seal coat is holding up... you may get as little as 250-300 sq feet per 5 gallon pail... i average about 350-400 on previously sealed depending on how much water I add.

As for the cracks, since you probably dont have and dont want to invest $1000+ on a melter for applying hot-pour, the best stuff available is called ply-sticks from lowes or home depot made by Latexite which is basically a rubber cord you stuff into the crack and then melt with a small swetting/propane soldering type torch. you can also use cold-pour crack sealant.

Charge him about $250 for 1 coat... maybe $440 or so for two coats... and .25 cents a foot for cold pour. It all depends on how much profit you want to make I guess.

customer loves it, and i made 215.00 for 3 hours work .... ended up chargein him 315.00, 100.00 for the materials....
