We give them the measurements for:
a.) square footage for mowing
b.) linear feet for edging
c.) linear feet for line trimming
d.) time estimated for blowing/sweeping
And then we include a price for each.
Good Luck this season!

JustCut, give them a price per cut, you'd be amazed at how many people will think twice about having a lawn service once they find out what it is going to cost them per year.
They don't think it sounds to bad when you tell them it's
$35 per cut but when you tell them it's going to run around
$1200 per year some people will think twice.
Good Luck!

I agree with Jerry's Lawn Service. I read in a sales book that one of the ways of overcoming an objection to price was to breakdown the cost per minute if you have to. It does work, why else would advertisers say "our product will only cost you X dollars per month" they could just as easily advertise the annual price.

I add up the total price of what we will be doing for the customer for the entire season. Divide by the total number of months we will be servicing their lawn. Finally break that number down into weekly installments. If they cant pay for it all on a weekly basis, then I prefer not to have their business.
