This will be my first patio install and I'm looking for some quick tips and help with pricing.

Patio will be 119sq. ft.
Pavers will be Riverwalk Paver 16inx16in and cost 3.97 each
Patio is on flat ground
Sides are 14x3x3x7x10x11

1.How much base do I need?
2.Do I need to rent a power compacter?
3.HOw should I price this?
Sorry no pictures of the area.

You are actually laying paving slabs, not pavers. By definition, a unit 16x16 does not meet the three criteria to technically be a paver. Paving slabs are installed pretty much the same way as pavers. However, you will NOT COMPACT THE SLABS WITH A MECHANICAL COMPACTOR WHEN DONE. If you do, there will many many many broken slabs.

Good luck on your project.

I am not sure about the base in region of the country. Call a paver supplier or manufacture and ask them. 6-inches would be used in poor (weak) soils with little bearing capacity or in freeze-thaw climates.
