Nice job MIke. Any concerns w/ the span of the granite at the bar area? It seems as if it may bow w/ some weight on it.

No concerns at all. It is solid. We checked with the company that supplied the granite before building the base. It is built to their spec.

Now backoff!

Very nice, mbella. That paver pattern is really cool looking. Keep up the great work, I always enjoy the pics. Just makes me realize I have a lot to learn!

With a deck like that I'd have to have a privacy fence....

Very nice! Maybe you could sell them some shade/privacy trees?

Mike, Do you do all your own designs as well as the installs? That pattern has become very popular this year. Have you installed it before? You do very nice work and that granite counter top really accents your walls. It would have been nice to cap your posts with that same granite, but you have put your own touch with the post caps and lights.

Kirk, I did most of the design on the patio. The homeowner picked the pavers and the pattern. I am not a big fan of either, but I like the way it looked on this patio. I actually tried to change it, but the homeowner wouldn't budge.

To each his own, but I like the granite limited to the bar/grill area. I probably would have picked different lights for the columns, but the homeowner wanted those lights.

Hey Mike
That is an absolutely beautiful job!!! I'm always impressed with how flawless your jobs are. I have one question as far as your last pic goes though. I was wondering why in the hell it was so damn blurry??? The only answer I can come up with is that you must have taken the pics on friday afternoon and CGLand somehow tracked you down and was trying to shake the extra change out of your pockets for his payroll while you were taking the pic. Is he still bothering you with his money issues??? :D
Again, great job!

Mark, I was actually trying to sign the loan check to Chris and take the pic at the same time. Very difficult, but his guys were waiting. :)

Seriously, I want some of his doe. You should see the plans for the palace (he calls it a shop) he is in the process of building. I AM jealous.

Is there any reason you went exclusively w/ the 6" coventry wall instaed of mixing 3"+6"?? Was that your decision or clients??

09-25-2005, 06:58 PM
Bob, that was my decision. With the scale of the project, I didn't see a need to mix in 3".

That's way cool

I'd like to see pictures of your project. Where can I view pictures? Thanks.
