Pro slide is just like a velke but with out wheels. Its has a thick rubber pad on the bottom ansd it just slides across the turf. Web site I dont know about. I have seen a couple guys buy them with the great dane scampers. But never used one before.

I am a proud owner of a proslide, and i would sale you one right now if i had an extra, because they are SO much nicer than velkes IF you do not have reasons to go over lots of concrette...i have concreet but i just walk accros it, b/c when u step of the slide it folds up out of your way...then just hop back on and u're stripping better, taking bumps better, and staying behind the mower better, than a wheeled velkee that is...email me for any more details...
jeffrey@tedorkin.com

I have a Pro-Slide and wouldn't ever use anything else. The company is NOVAE Corp. from Ft. Wayne Indiana and the phone is (1-219)639-3270.

The Proslide is the only sulky unit on the market that is self retracting. It really does work and is fantastic to use. It does not put excessive drag on the machine and is a much smoother ride than the wheeled units. It spreads the users weight out over a couple square feet so you just glide over the bumps and holes. A wheeled unit will bump and shake with every hole or rut you hit. The number for Novae Corp is 219-627-8959. their web address is www.novaecorp.com
They also have a fantastic modular tool storage system. You build it the way you want. trimmers, blowers, and water cooler racks. They are coming out with some new attachments later this year. It's worth looking at their site.

I can't believe what I'm reading!!! I used to have a pro-slide and it fell apart on me!! Not only that but the strain on my mower cuased all sorts of drive system problems on my belt drives as well as my hydros. It's obvious that Mike works for Novae. See his profile?
Ya gotta have at lease one wheel!

Three hundred bucks for a hunk of plastic? No thanks!!
I knew something smelled like cheese on this thread! You guys have the sales manager for the company trying to sell these "miracle tonics" to you!!!
I have seen one, and it looks like it would tear the plate to pieces that it mounts to.(on the back of the mower)
It has to support your full weight at times, compared to riding on wheels. I am happy with my jungle wheels!
Some people kill me! Because something is "New" or "different" they feel that they must have it.
Plastic! Really, now.

we had these pro slide too and they fell apart in 3 months. the bottom plates did not last long and the piston to lift it bent easy, and stopped working. we really like them at first, but then they fell apart.we rebuilt them once to make to the end of the season. i have 3 in my scrap pile if you want them. now we ride on lazerz's. that the only way to mow!

Lakegastonla: If you gotta have two wheels try the velke 2 wheel (made by velke). I like the velke much better than Jungle-wheels because it will not jacknife and tear up the ground and it stores much easier and better. I tried them all after I switched from pro-slime. It's because of the velke one wheel that they call me fast Eddie because It never slows me down, even in backing up or getting around those #%*&#$ swingsets. And best of all it's the most fun! Like water sking!!

Hey, thanks eddie! The 2-wheel velke looks nice, I have seen them up close&played with one a bit. My Jungle Jims are new just this year, so I'm probably set for a while. One word of caution, though: the rocket wheels made by trimmertrap suck!! Don't get me wrong, they ARE made very well, but they yank the mower around and make it hard to turn&go straight on the next row. These things COST me time, they did not save one minute!!
Anyway, I'll check out the velke next time I need one because the Jungle Jims will jackknife in a minute, and it's a pain in the @#$ trying to take the mower off the trailer with the thing attached!
Peace, and chicken grease!
