How did I do???

This is my first two items i carved out of wood. I did the mushroom first and the pumpkin second. Let me what you think of them.

I think they look good, I also think you need more practice :D

They look like they're waiting to be finished. More detail, and clean them up a bit more. Good start though.

I tried with the propane torche the first time.(firsy pic) And after that pic I redid it with mapgas witch is much hotter and the burns got darker so ill post the new pic tomorrow. O and on the mushroom I did a plunge cut and thats why there is a cut in the stem of it.

What kind of wood is that? That must take some time to get it all carved out.

Heres the finished pics of the pumpkin. I darkened the burns. SFL the shroom is mulberry and the pumpkin is blue spruce. The shroom I was just messing around with and I tried my best with the pumpkin.

LMAO, the finer arts of chainsaw work...the shroom dont look too bad to me.
