why do you have to be like that holland?

It would keep this thread more ontopic :)

I'm enjoying listening to the ranting from both sides, and its annoying to see one sentance from you pop up with meaningless crap.

And it would be logical to speculate that it is not possible at all. But I think you just proved my point. You are speculating... not proving. So as of now... there is no 10 second powerstroke and there is no powerstroke over 700hp.

More speculation. I could just as easy say that as of now there is no 1000hp+ Cummins that will remain in one piece after a 10 sec. run.

Hmmm..ok???? I must be because I am having a hard time understanding your post again LOL What was all this about email games? I'm sorry did I suggest that you had to email someone for some additional information

Yet you don't even say anything to Lawnworks who put a phone number up? Birds of a feather flock together I see.

I think we both know that topic was left behind several pages ago.

You're just 'Dodge'-ing the subject.

Your post must be hidden from view on my PC because I just went back and looked for it to no avail. The only thing that I can find that may have been a possible attempt of providing evidence that I misquoted you I addressed in post 149. Where do you come up with this stuff?

Here's what I said:

I never said I received secret information, I asked you to do it since you're the one searching for the proof. There you go misquoting me.

Original basis:

You'll have to ask them through email if they will tell you, as it may be a trade secret as of now.

Where did I say anywhere in that statement about receiving any secret emails??? Definite proof of being misquoted.

Yet you admit it on one page and deny it on the next.

LOL, you COULD say that, but you would be wrong!! I am sure I could find back to back runs on video. Would you like me to? I have personally been to the track and witnessed it myself. You cannot win a race if your motor blows up after the first run.

Have you ever been to a competitive sled pull? I guess not. Kent Crowder's 1000-2000hp Dodge usually has to make two runs at each sled event, because there is usually a pull-off once two trucks pass the 300' foot line. Dodge bottom ends are strong enough stock for 800hp. How much hp will a powerstroke bottom end take?

My god you guys go way too fast for me! I normally like a good arguement but this is too quick I cant keep up! haha

Lawnworks, my truck is a 96 with 248,000 miles and a trans was put in at 70,000 miles (gotta love the e40d), I had an edge evo I borrowed and also a homemade thang (resistor in the icp sensor to make the injectors hit harder) all in all I think it "should" be close to 120 hp and over 200ft lbs of torque it did fine and my egt's were actually pretty low still (never saw them over 1100). that was just playing no towing, which they all say not to tow on those settings anyway. These were just programmers basicly no chip. So I guess the new ones should take the power easy. I had both on the truck for about a month, never had a problem when they were on the trans is the same as always and I didn't drive nice. I have a problem with driving easy.

Also there are powerstrokes in the 700hp range, I read of 2 of them in the past couple days. Still can't fully get a straight answer on 800hp marks but I know theres one out there. Are we talking rwhp or fwhp?

I still say the same thing, get me a cummins to put in a chevy or a ford truck and we'll be best friends. I personally think the cummins is the best of the big 3 for power, for problem free engines of the 90's my opinion is the powerstroke, nothing wrong with them besides the cps sensors always taking craps, heard of alot more problems with the cummins but again if i were racing yea i'd probably get a cummins. Too bad chevy couldn't say crap in the 90's for a diesel, if I bought a brand new truck it would be a chevy, best of both worlds in my eyes. :D

Do you see where it says TODAY and THIS INSTANCE (referring to my incorrect assumptions of what you had knowledge of).

I did not admit anything on one page and deny it on the next.

Your post are so hard to make any sense of at times I have a hard time following your comments. I thought you were referring to me calling you out earlier in this thread, which you still have not proved yet, because I already addressed my error of the moment. No need to go back that far is there :) Hell you still do not want to admit Richard's truck had a Cummins in it at the time of the video you posted (November 2003).

You cannot win a race if your motor blows up after the first run.

You sure?:D I think that a blown Cummins would still win..:p According to you, the Cummins is that good.

So I could bring a Cummins with 2 rods hanging out the side and still win a pull?

Have you ever been to a competitive sled pull? I guess not. I've been to the Youngsville pull every year since '97 and to the NC State Fair pull every year since '96, and numerous other tractor and lawn and garden pulls in between. I even pull in the stock class with one of my Cubs, so yes, I know what pulling is about.

Let's get this straight--the Cummins bottom end is good for 800, not the Dodge.

Shoot Dodge put Mitsubishi diesels in their pickups before they had the Cummins.....very troublesome in their day.

And yes I have been to plenty of truck, tractor, and lawn and garden pulls as well. I've even pulled against Ironmower a couple of times with my model 73 Cub, but my little 7hp 73 is no match for his 12hp model 1200. I pulled this year in Roxboro with it. Wanted to pull at Denton but didn't have the schedule handy when I went to know to take it.

Let's get this straight--the Cummins bottom end is good for 800, not the Dodge.

Are you implying that Dodge is junk? This shows how small minded you are. I will not call Chevy or Ford junk. You have no experience w/ the last decade of Dodge trucks so you have no room to say that dodges is junk. All you have is your internet forums to "deduce and derive."

yes i have seen the videos. i have known about enterprise engine for a long time. as a matter of fact i bought alot of parts from them for the 12v cummins i had. which i will vouch that was the biggest peice of chit truck i have ever owned. you could literally point at a part and it would break.

So you have never seen it pull. I would not rule out anything on Scheids truck. Van Haisley put his motor on an engine dyno and made 1300 and some odd hp. Scheids beats Haisley consistently.

Yeah and those Dodges are such junk.:dizzy: I think anything that can withstand 20psi boost launches w/ a stock 4wd transfer case, front end, etc is made pretty well. I would venture to say their manual transmissions are stronger than Fords, but that it is just antedotal evidence.

hp does not automaticly equate to wining in pulling. the biggest factor is weight and traction. its all about how it gets to the ground. plus on a engine dyno the nubers are going to be lager than rwhp. you lose around 20 percent of that though the driveline. so he has just a touch over 1k to the ground.

I've been to ALL kinds of pulls, truck, tractor and lawn and garden. I've seen hot trucks as well as stockers. The best one I ever saw was a truck called The Carolina Rebel. It had a Ford 640 in it and was one bad mofo on the track.

Not everyone has access to their daddy's Dodge Cummins like you as well as infinite amounts of money to build and rebuild that engine after being worn out during the pulling season.

BTW--my Cub is ELECTRIC start, no pull cord on it, of course since you're used to a Murray I'll let it slide this time.

Ancient? You've really done yourself in now. John Deere never had any pull start tractors, maybe your Murrays do (since you claim you bought your own equipment), but none of mine do, they have CAST IRON Kohler engines, my 1977 300 has well over 4000 hours on it and just this past summer the engine was rebuilt for the FIRST time, try that with your little ZTR's, oh and I can pull a plow or run a tiller as well as a flail mower or sickle bar mower with it too. Cub Cadet never had a pull start engine in them either--and I bet I could hook to any of your ZTRs with any of my tractors and drag them around like a log.

What's a garden tractor got to do with professionalism?? I use mine pretty much on all my jobs and no one ever says a word and so does most everyone else around here too.

Here let me give you some examples. If you can find a pull cord anywhere on those tractors then you're a friggin genius because I've never seen one on any of them.

I am in the real world kid. Quit making up bull and grow up. I'm sure you buy trucks at salvage auctions so you can buy as many as you want. With that mentality I could own a whole dealership.

My dreams are well beyond yours. I am in school so that I can work a 8-5 job and have my weekends to myself and be happy with what I'm doing and not dreaming of having a Dodge truck stuck up my ass. Mowing is only making me money for right now, to pay for school.

What you run.

Yeah I pretty much bought my ZTRs to cut grass. They don't have time to play around in the yard like yours do. I wonder which mower is more productive.... a ztr or a garden tractor?

My garden tractors can....

Mow/Mulch/Bag
Till
Front end load
Plow
Pull Trailers
Aerate
Dethatch
Rough cut
Go places a ZTR only dreams of
Spray

Mine don't play in the yard either. All or mine work. I take them where they are needed and use the one that is best suited for the job. If I know I'm going to be plowing I'll take the 300, if I'm just going to be aerating I'll take the Cub 73, if I'm mowing I'll take the GT-235.

I think you need to start eating off Subway's low carb menu.

I think you need to watch your mouth punk. I know a little shrimp like you wouldn't be saying that to me if you weren't hiding behind your keyboard.

At least I have the balls to put a picture of myself on here, unlike you who's scared to for some unknown reason.

Sure, when that 640 is making 2000hp and makes that sled fly down to the end, yeah, that's real boring.

It really is boring to me. I would rather hear the turbos whistle. I am just saying you have never seen the top DIESEL trucks compete.

Sure.....You can say that all you want to...cause when you aint payin for it it doesn't matter. Besides, there's no proof it isn't theirs.

Here is proof! What do you say buddy? not bad for being 22. If you more pictures, I will get them. Meaning to take pictures of the new landscaping anyway.

You must be suckin your ma's pretty regular to be talkin all this bull you come up with. Must be the lactose making you talk this crap.

Nothing but the truth.. too much for you? I can back it up.

I am in the real world kid. Quit making up bull and grow up. I'm sure you buy trucks at salvage auctions so you can buy as many as you want. With that mentality I could own a whole dealership.

I can show you pictures of all of them if you want. They work everyday, so they are not junk.

My dreams are well beyond yours. I am in school so that I can work a 8-5 job and have my weekends to myself and be happy with what I'm doing and not dreaming of having a Dodge truck stuck up my ass. Mowing is only making me money for right now, to pay for school.

Getting an education is great, but when you think you are better than someone that does not have an education is wrong. You don't have to have an education to be successful. It is one of those dirty little secrets people don't tell you. I would rather not work 8-5 for somebody else. I would rather make my own hours. I personally love working 10+ hours a day. Watching TV is not for me. What are your dreams and how they beyond mine?

Would like to see a picture of my garage? It sure as hell doesn't a murray in it. And I am proud to say it does not have a John Deere in it as well!

My garden tractors can....

Mow/Mulch/Bag
Till
Front end load
Plow
Pull Trailers
Aerate
Dethatch
Rough cut
Go places a ZTR only dreams of
Spray

Awesome! Man those things are beast! I am sure a 15hp front end loader gets it done! Rough cut?? w/ those deck? please wake up

Mine don't play in the yard either. All or mine work. I take them where they are needed and use the one that is best suited for the job. If I know I'm going to be plowing I'll take the 300, if I'm just going to be aerating I'll take the Cub 73, if I'm mowing I'll take the GT-235.

you just said you tractor pulled w/ one... which is it bud... work or play?

Bullshit. http://www.deere.com/en_US/ProductCatalog/HO/servlet/com.deere.u90785.cce.productcatalog.view.servlets.ProdCatProduct?pNbr=SKU21485&tM=HO&cNbr=HO_LGT&sCName=X+Series

Tell me that's cheap equipment. Tell me that's unprofessional. Yeah, Riiiight.

That isn't even what you have!!! I think 15k is ridiculous for a garden tractor though. Hell you could get a 50hp turbocharged 72" Dixie Chopper for that.

Oh and for the record, guess what I found in my record of pictures?? Lawnworks missed a payment on his Murray and so guess what happened?

I think the bank got a couple hundred or so out of it. I think the fact that it was electric start might have helped it bring a little over 200.

Hey looks like your the one w/ the Murray!!! It is in the back ground of those pics!! LOL, and I am the one full of it.....pppppplease!

BTW, that is one hell of a machine you got there!! Off to the tractor pulls he goes!!! LOL LOL

Around here anybody mowing with a garden tractor, of any brand, is not considered a professional by others in the industry. Maybe things are different in other parts of the country but I'm guessing not. Also I can't imagine there is any way a garden tractor can maintain the quality of cut at the speed of a commercial mower (maybe I'm wrong about this as i do not calim to be a garden tractor professional). IMHO it is important to be as efficient with your time as possible to be successful in this industry.

Maybe the customer thinks mowing with a garden tractor is professional? I guess that is all that matters.

All the talk about education now. So F'n what you are getting a degree, I have one (Do you want to see it for proof LOL). Big deal! Once the novelty of that degree wears off, you will realize an undergraduate degree is maybe not all that special in the "real world" as you thought it might be (certainly some vocations still posses some value and are more "special" than others). Want to talk about graduate degrees now too :)

One more thing, everyone measures success differenlty. For me success has a large part to do with my income. IMHO of all the people I know who I consider to be successful, not one of them work an 8-5. My kind of success does not come from a 9hr day, no matter what kind of work it is. That think this is the kind of fiction they feed you in an undergrad program.

Somebody got ST1 all riled up LMAO. Now he is a tough guy :)
