anyone use a jrco front mount thatch rake for a walkbehind? If so, how well does it work? Does it affect the steering of the mower? Seems like it might actually improve the mower for hills by adding weight to the front. Any info is appreciated.

I have one on a 36" Scag walk behind. It has become invaluable for spring clean-up. As far as steering, it does make the machine a little more cumbersome, but not bad. To me, stability on slopes isn't any different. Go pick one up, for the few hundred bucks, you will save countless hours.

has one mounted on a j.d. walkbehind 48"and it does a great job
and really ters up the lawn (but in a good way) and it does affect the steering a little, ya just have to use a little muscle to turn the machine
but I am very happy w/ mine add a bagger to your mower and will save clean up time

I use one on my TTHP and it works great. If set up properly it should affect steering too much.
