I just purchased a 20 hp billy goat loader and have built a leaf box on the back of my dump body insert measures 6.5 ft high by 8ft long and 6 ft wide. I am looking to offer my leaf sucking to other landscapers in my area but i need to come up with either a per load rate or an hourly rate. Just looking for your input. By the way dumping here is free if this helps with your thought process.
Thanks

I charge $65.00 per hour + local dump fees ($25.00 full load)

my box is 14X7X6.5 so I can fit a fair load in there but I charge each person for a full load.

I marketed to other landscapers for a year or two. Most didn't take it the right way. They though I was trying to take over their business or stick my nose in the wrong places.

charging 60 and hour...there are plenty of lawns to go around so if everyone charges about the same, then the customers have no choice to chose the person that does the best job...why charge 40 an hour when you can charge 60 and run the lowballers out of business...most lowballers do not last...I am new to this business as far as being an LC owner, but I am know not to lowball the others...

If you are going to pull up to a site and just vac leaves then $40.00 - $50.00 per hour sounds fair . Have a minimum price in mind also , say $45.00 for those stops that are less than an hour . You can offer your services getting the leaves to the truck also .

Being that you can dump for free, that is more money in your pocket. So $65 plus what it should cost to dump ($25). You are going to be able to load remove piles fast with that 20 hp loader. Get what you deserve.

Gas and labor for the machine, and travel time. ifthe other co dont like the price tell em to go out and buy a vac, a truck to haul the vac and find a place to dump them.

There is nothing done in this business that doesn't cost you anything.

We used to charge a 25 dollar minimum for in town stops, and it was 60 an hour, this was with an actual dump truck and a 27hp loader. That loader had b@lls. also we'd charge each person 10-20 dollars for hauling even though dumping was free, gas/time to get there and dump isn't.

we charge $30 per man hr. we have a four man crew so its $120 an hr. billed at 15min increments then we cut the lawn after leafs are cleaned up @ regular price. This year with gas the rate will go up to $35 a man hr. We have a big tow behind vac we use.

We charge a minimum of $75.00 to come out and suck up a pile. If the pile fills the truck then we charge $150.00. This is to only suck up the leaves, not blow or rake them into piles.
