A friend of mine has an older exmark bagging system off a ztr thats about 5 or so maybe more years old. It has a 8 or so Horsepower motor mounted on it. It uses 2 Garbage cans that have bags in it for collection. What is this unit worth? He has brackets made up to fit right on my 455 Diesel Garden tractor. He wants $1000 for it, and I've heard this new costs over $3500. Let me know what u guys think. Thanks alot

It sounds like an old trac-vac. It is definitely NOT an Exmark brand of vac, because they never had anything like that. I can't tell you what it's worth. It would all depend in what kind of shape it's in and if everything works. Does it have everything to mount up to your Z? Also, you'll need the chute attachment to fit YOUR mower. 1000 bucks might be a bit steep. You can buy a brand new commercial Cyclone rake for not much more than that, and it is ALOT better setup.

The top of the bagger says exmark all over it, and the chute works perfect. What should I do?

It may SAY Exmark all over it, and it may even be autograghed by the president of the comany himself, but I guarantee you this is NOT an Exmark bagging system by what you described. Does it look like this? http://www.trac-vac.com/index_files/Page1786.htm
Or like these http://www.trac-vac.com/index_files/Page2106.htm

These are some of the trac-vac models.

I have a vac system you may be interested in. I just listed it in the equipment marketplace. http://lawnsite.com/showthread.php?p=1166111#post1166111
I know it will fit on a 52" Z500. Check the ad (long)

If you are still looking, its a NEW Protero model 215 DFS (15 cu/ft or 12 bushel) dump from the seat that I am selling here on LS. Will fit almost all Z riders. Nothing wrong with it just makes my Z to big for my smaller properties and trailer. Didn't think it through when I bought it. I think it will be a huge money maker for any LCO doing leaf removal in the fall.

If I'm not mistook, it's possible to purchase eXmark decals. If that's so, you could have an eXmark truck.
