When you break a belt on a machine you need to know how the old one went so on my rider ,when it was new, I took a majic marker and traced the belt with the marker onto the deck around the various pulleys(idler and drive) so I could replace the belt with out having to think about how the belt was supposed to go.

It's funny how sometimes something like this will come up that is such a simple thing, but such a helpful thing, as well. It goes into the "Geez, why didn't I think of that!" file. :)
