How much are you firewood guys charging for a cord, 1/2 cord, fullsize pick up truck load? How big is a cord compared to a truck load? I will be toying with it this year. Alot of work but I will have some down time to fool with it though. I saw one ad for $150 per cord. Thanks

Up here in Jersey i can get 220.00 per chord. I think an 8 foot pick up bed would be a chord. Never actually measured it. Its 4x4x8 or 128 cubic feet. Charge extra to stack.. and a little more to deliver..

Theres a company here that dosen't sell by the cord he sells by the cubic foot.
He has stacks of wood in 16 cubic ft
He sells them for $50 ea and yes it comes out to $400 a cord.
Now this boy is making money and I'm surprised hes getting away with it.
Most cords around here are fron $120 to $175 a cord.
He's been in business for years and I wonder why nobody smartened up to his prices.
A friend just paid $250.00 per cord here in CT. I think the average price is definitely over $200 this year.
Selling by the cubic foot, never heard of that. I know a lot of people don't always want a full cord, so the cubic foot thing could work very well.

as low as $30/ face cord around here..
I won't sell for less than $65-70 cord.. But the wood I sell is from our tree jobs anyway, so we are getting paid twice to deal with the logs..
$220+/ for a face cord?!! I wish.. Never seen above $140/cord and its the best logs around..

Here in MN, I'm charging $115 for 4'x8'x16" delivered and stacked.
OR, I'll deliver 1.3 full cords for $400, but just dumped out of the dump trailer.
There's guys charging everywhere from $85 to $160 / face cord, and everyone is getting it.
If I see Oak for less than $125 / full cord, I buy it myself and turn around and resell it.

NW suburbs of Chicago, you cannot find anyone selling a facecord of seasoned mixed hardwood for less than $100. I've seen at least 7 companies and the cheapest is $109.
