I was told that lesco makes a sprayer that fits in the back of your truck. I got onto lesco's site and i did not see one. I am driving a dodge 2500 ext cab long bed cummins diesel.

Lesco makes a good sprayer, but you might find it a little pricey. One thing to consider if this is your first purchase is curb side motor and reel placement. Makes it a lot easier than rear mounted skid units.

he means that are are many different layouts for spray skids and if you are unfamiliar with the different layouts, you may not be aware of how it affects you spraying multiple lawns per day from the back of a pickup. Unless you like the idea of climbing in and out of the truck each time, trying to back your truck into each property, etc., you may want to be looking for skids that you can access everything from outside of the truck(motor, reel, valves, pump) with the reel curbside(passenger side) so that as you pull up to a house, you can eye down a pull line and drag straight out and reel straight back in. That's what he means.

I have one of the ones thats made for you truck bed with reel and motor on the passanger side. I love mine. one thing i will suggest that I did was to buy a piece of magnetic sign material to match your truck color-mine it white, so easy to do-cut it out to fit the area bellow your sprayeron the truck. It will keep the hose from scatching your paint off.

I spent a few more coins and purchased the hose reel guide. It's chrome in color so it looks good and protects the truck and hose.

On several of the Lesco spray rigs you can turn the reel so it is facing curb side. If you want a drop tank you can do that too. Just plumb main tank to pump into drop and out from drop to hose.

Here's a link to the Space Saver sprayer http://www.lesco.com/ProdCatalog/ProdCatalogNav.aspx?ProdGroupID=48&SKUGroupID=299.
It goes in sideways in your bed which allows you to still have about 1/2 your bed left.

I've had my space saver for 3 years now and love it. If you are handy with plumbing, you could build one for have the cost of a new one. I paid right around $3K for mine. It doesn't take long to pay for itself. I wish they had roller guides that were geared with the take-up roll so that it would wind perfect each time and you didn't have to hold the hose and such. I like the idea about the magnet....even if you just use a blank one.

I have a 1 ton crewcab stakebed truck that I use and what we did is bolted the sprayer to a very heavy red oak pallet then use cargo straps to hold it in place. This way I can use the forklift to pull it out and put it in storage, clean it, change fluids, whatever. I want to get the lift gate off the back to improve gas mileage, because at $3.18/ gal for regular it's ridiculous. This truck sucks down gas like a python in a bunny cage! But carrying a 200 gal. sprayer full is nothing.

We have 3 and they do a great job. Only problem is the hypro pump it uses, they need rebuilds about every 3-4 months. I've heard this from several dealers after we have had to do them.

What kind of products are you using to have them rebuilt every 3-4 months? All the ones i have put in over the years have lasted at least 1 - 1 1/2 years.

i had the same problem with mine. then i called hypro and they told me to make sure that the pressure on the back side of the diaphram (via a schrader valve) was about 20% of the pump output pressure, and since then i have had no problems. i do replace the diaphrams every winter just for PM. and i run anything and everything through the pump (copper sulphate, weed control, pre-m, WP, fert (liquid & solu).
