what does lime do for a lawn?will lime help burnt lawns from no rain

is the question "will lime turn into water?" lol...no, it's meant to correct ph imbalances in soil. Now, if your soil is in desperate imbalance and you are having difficulty with uptake of other nutrients, lime can help in that way, but on it's own, it's not going to bring back dormant lawns.

Soil microbes are more active in lawns with a neutral pH than an acidic one.

All pH tests affected (thrown off) by a recent fert. app.?
Have a lot of clients asking about Lime. Here in Georgia people think it is automatic to seed & lime, but I don't want to spend the time if it is not needed. Also hearing a lot about lime tying up P & K, so thinking lime could be done later in the season, maybe more around December.
