Replacing drive belt

I have a 36" gaint vac mower. How often should you replace the drive belts? I have about 1200 hours on it and its about 5 years old. Thanks

how does it pull? great? good, then inspect them for the chance of breakage. still look good? yes? then buy a spare set and throw 'em in the truck. drive these as long as you can then change.

if the above is not the case, change them now.
