Leaf Vac/Blower problems

I have a craftsman eagle 1 leaf blower/vac that has been sitting in my garage for the past year and i tried starting it up today with gas and oil and when it starts it runs only for a few seconds and then dies...what could be the problem?

Check the fuel filter down inside the tank, If thats ok then the carb. needs a teardown cleaning with carb. choke spray cleaner and maybe a rebuild kit installed.
