Who's used a super lawn truck before?
Are they worth the cost?
What do you like or dislike about them?
Do you recommend them?
Whatever you have to share about your experience with them.
Thank you for responding.

I know a LCO in Ky. that has one. He got it last spring and after talking to him about it, he likes it a lot. He went to Florida to get his. They seem like a great truck, a moving shop on wheels. If I was a lot younger, I would consider one. I sure would take one as a gift. :)

Where do you put all the yard waste, clippings, etc? How do you dump it?

If this day in age your still bagging clipping theres something wrong! commerical mower today have the capability to make lawns look bagged without all the hassle of bagging! In my apinion the super lawn truck would be good for someone who has a crew dedicated to just mowing and has another truck for the landscape installation/maintenance crew. This truck would not be a good idea for someone who hauls waste and only wants one truck for everything!

I have friendly competitors that use them. They think they're a bit large and combersome, but I can see how they would be nice if you could have dedicated trucks for specific jobs. I'm still at a size where pickups work best.
BTW... Those trucks aren't very expensive.

evan, even if mulching lawns there are still spring and fall clean ups, shrub and tree trimming, removals, etc, etc, etc.
Just got one! Well sort of, it's a used 14' High Cube Ford. I'm getting the ramp done this week and I'll spend the rest of the season making my own. I have used cargo vans and they are great (having also used trailers). As for yard waste I dont haul the stuff. I leave it curb side, and no more bagg'n for me!! As for mulch, I'm more than happy to pass along the $25 delivery charge to my customers and it saves me alot of time.

I looked at one yesterday at the green industry boot camp in Orlando. It can carry everything you need including hand tools and irrigation parts. On the drivers side of the box there is a 39 gallon gas tank and a 10 gallon premix tank both with seperate pumps that are turned on and off on the outside of the truck for day use and at night there is a switch inside the truck so the pumps can't be turned on. The truck is set up to hold everything a three man crew would need. He said everything can fit in the 16 foot truck that would normally fit in a 20 foot trailer. When you buy the truck they sit down with you and build it to your needs. They also have a marketing specialist that will design a sign to put on the side of box. The whole package was around 43000 dollars. That is not a bad price. Consider a new truck (desil) that will be around 38000 and an enclosed trailer your almost at the price of the superlawn truck.

But just think how many you could sneak into a Drive In Movie. :D
That is something that sure did fade away around here. We have one left around here that I know of and it might be gone too.

I wouldn't buy a new one, I'd buy something simular to what I'm using now. It may not have all the extraperks that a super lawn truck has but you can add on to it. You can find real nice cube vans for $5000 and up.
