Hey jim just a my two cents, it will greatly help if you had some pics of your equipment on ebay. They make a world of diference when selling. I know i hate to look at stuff for sell when there is not pictures.

I don't think he'll get 12 grand for his business.

Honestly, I don't think he'll get 5 grand for his business .. a bunch of low powered, low end equipment and 35 accounts ... hmmmmmmmmmmm .. yeah, that's worth $12000.

POSSIBLY could get a couple of email leads of interest if he included some pics, though ..

Nice area, though.

Also it would be a GOOD IDEA to say what the expected gross sales would be...

How about a little Constructive Criticism gentleman!!;)

Maybe more often we could share our thoughts in a productive manner so as not to just slam someones efforts.

As for 35 accounts not being worth $12k??? I dont know, but I heard a guy just bought my friends with no equipment for $20k to get into the business. The average cost per cut was $18.

So like they always say, theres one born every minute and I dont think he was crazy to ask what he did. Besides if you dont ask, you never know the answer. Just because most of agree that this is an outlandish price doesnt mean that no one will bite.

Depending on what the accounts were, I'd pay that just to take MY rig down there and work! Nice!

As far as I could discern.

Seems like seller wants money up front no gaurantees.

And no escrow for the potential (inevitable) attrition of accounts. A point that many in the forum have specified as a plus when selling.

On the Plus side. Not a bad price for instant accounts/name in the buisness/leverage to bigger, better accounts. Equipment is sufficient for start-up, most should last two seasons or more esp. the two-stroke stuff.

Are you kidding me? You think that price is reasonable? The equipment is junk. And granted, it doesn't specify how large the accounts are, but after seeing the general size of the houses and such, I can say that they aren't that much to be desired. 12000 is RIDICULOUS!!!!

Funny how there are no pictures of the equipment, trailor, houses, etc ...

Seems to me some are saying buying these buisinesses
is a poor bet.Wonder if the same is true of say plumbing or electrical buisiness.

I e-mailed the owner and ask what the business grosses in a month. She told me $2000. One commercial account and the rest residential.

Too pricey?

Well maybe, but thats how everything is sold these days, try the local car lot for starters.

How much do we value the industry we in?

Guy will probably get close to asking price, and buyer won't have that 'srub' look we all complain about.

Hope this helps.
