Hey buddy. I'm in Southern Ontario. B.C. is nice, great skiing out there. I have to settle for Blue "Mountain". More like Blue Molehill. Of course we do have the Raptors while you have the Louisville Colonels (I mean Grizzlies).

DBM, I'm from farm country and I'll bet you have heard of a small town near me.. Walkerton, Ontario.. Luckily it's water doesn't run my way.
This is just a part time business for my wife, she let's me help once in awhile.

I'll say "I'm Canadian too (eh)" although I'm not in the lawn care industry (I know, "boo! hiss!") - I generally "hang out" in the snowplowing & Chevy truck forums.

Orillia is about 90 miles north of Toronto.

And on the "long distance relationship" front, I met my wife-to-be on a trip to Cuba back in '99 - if all goes as planned, the wedding will be in Cuba this November.

John here from Richmond Hill, Ontario. 30 to 40 minutes from Toronto. My wife is from Chattanooga, TN(I love it there). Going through immigration now to try and get there. It's so damn slow, going to move business and all down there.

Good luck John. Immigration can be a pain sometimes. I have heard it takes a while for paper work to come thru up in that region. We were lucky!! Norway is one of 3 countries where an american citizen can go over and marry and it is recognized immediatly. The day after out wedding in Oslo we went to the Embasy and got her spouse visa. We stayed in Oslo for a couple of weeks and then headed back home to Louisiana. The only problem we had was getting her social security number. No number no work..this took over a month but it finally came through..

You're right on the immigration process being s-l-o-w, cajuncutter - it sounds like for me, getting married will be the easy part. The immigration process for her to come to Canada could take up to a year+ (oh yes, and let's not forget the $1475 the Cdn goverment gets too!)

Thanks Cajun. It takes a long time from what i hear and the worst part is i'm not allowed in the states while application is pending, oh well we will just stay here till it's time. will be nice to be able to get a few more months of mowing down there without snow most of the year. Goodluck.

John, are you applying for spouse visa or the petition for fiancee? if it is the spouse it could take anywhere from 3 months to 2 years...all depends on the quota for this year..hope it is a speedy process which ever the case may be...and as far as the couple of months..HA!!!! rain rain go away..we have flooding here..too wet to do anything..you put out weed and feed right now and it will just wash away...also i have one of those short cuts with the aggressize tires..not good for soft ground
