Is it possible to use a Proslide with this machine? Is there enough a?@ in the engine to pull a 200 pound person?

Yes TC lawn care uses a proslide on the quick36. He has pictures on this site. It might a little hard to steer it being a single hydro but TC seems to like his proslide very well.

I talked to laura and she was going to find me someone who would let me try out their mower before I got one. Dumb storm screwed it up.

If you are worried about the Proslide being to hard to pull you can purchase their model called the Step-Saver. http://www.betteroutdoorproducts.com/index.asp?page=ProductDetails&Item=ACC-0008

I'd buy another one:)

I use it for a tight yard mower and it's easier to maneuver than a 21"

I agree, easier than a 21". the cut is the best I have seen. better than my hrc 216 and exmark.

how does it steer? on the website, it looks like it has only one...'grip' that you use to steer the thing.

thanks a lot

I think it steers well, easier then a belt drive WB. You use both grips to steer. The left grip has the brake which has to be held against the grip to release the brake. This acts as a safety feature causing the mower to stop and shut off if you release the brake while the blades are spinning. For example if you trip and fall while mowing when your hand lets go of the mower and releases the brake the mower will stop and shut off. The right grip has the the throttle lever and reverse thumb controlled lever. To operate start the mower, hold the brake lever against the grip with your left hand engage the blades and then with your right hand slowly pull the throttle lever to start moving forward.

right, it works just like armadillo said. it really is fool proof. if you loose control for some reason, it will stop. the only thing I found, was that my left hand safety lever was a bit loose to start with, and would start to kill if you let it up more than .5". tighten it up a bit and it was just fine.

the controls are really very easy, and very responsive.

btw, you know you steer it like a 21" mower with castor wheels. the hydro drive just moves you forward and backward. it has a differential, so kind of like steering a shopping cart with forwardand reverse.
