Bluestone patios....

I have two questions:
1) does anyone use manufactured bluestone??
2) base prep...similar to concrete pavers??

I got some info from a supplier on the manufactured stuff and they say 1" compacted base and 1/2" sand laying bed. I have used regular bluestone and a base similar to concrete pavers though I must say the irregularities(thickness wise) in regular bluestone make it painful to work with.

we have used the manufactured stones or slabs, that look similar to bluestone.

They install just like pavers except for one thing. Do not run a plate compactor over the top to set them into the sand.

I've never used that product, but I know that you should keep making the same kind of base as you do for other pavements.

I haven't used this product, but I agree with Stonehenge. Use a substantial base that is well compacted.
