My friend and I need some help, it seems that these days his truck is smoking way too much. We don't know what to do to fix the problem.

I see you've got the pump turned up on that bad boy, bet she'll pull as much as a 10 wheeler.:D

How about telling me where he got his stacks or did he have someone make them. I have two of those bad boys but I haven't decided which one to play with yet.

You get the stacks at any heavy truck supply house. They can sell you from a 4" all the way up to a stupid as hell looking 16" exhaust.

Now you just need a 6'' stack through the hood.

Hey SFL - maybe ya didn't notice - somebody tied a big ol' red thing to the bumper. Get rid of that red thing and I'd bet you would see less smoke and get better fuel mileage. Seriously - Try TK-7SCF 704HS Diesel Fuel Additive. It improves horsepower and reduces smoke and emissions. Order a gallon or more from RideMor Products via e-mail and I will pay for the shipping.

Hellll yeah... looks like the only way that baby won't smoke is if the ignition is in the off position.

Tech specs:
2 stage turbo
Digital 2 stage propane injection system
ATS Torque Commander module
AFE air intake
47RE auto trans with ATS rebuild kit

Last I heard it was at over 1,000 lb-ft of torque. Pulls in the 8,000 lb. sled range.

Propane?? Dodge's don't need propane! That is a powerstroke crutch.

Its the MSD Digital propane injection sys.

SFL, it appears as noted above that the injection pump is cranked up. And that of course pours more fuel to it. And that means more smoke. He could need ne injectors, or he could need a ring job. Or he could just tune his injection pump back to stock and it will smoke a whole lot less.

Or if you use less coal and turn the flu on the boiler box down the locomotive will not smoke when pulling:):)(:)

I am going to see if this works.

Here are a couple of links to videos of a truck that has a little smoking problem also;)

The truck is not mine, but I would love to have it, and the power that is has. Brian won't say exact numbers, all he will say is on #2 only is well over 600hp and 1300lbft at the rear wheels. Not too bad for a Ford:p

All this black smoke is just too much to handle. Its doing nothing but harming our environment, not to mention looks dumb, cuz everyone knows that the 5.9 Cummins is one sorry engine.

I have never in my life seen that much smoke from a powerstroke... I have heard of the "black widow" on TDR though.

It would prob be easier just to mod your cummins a little bit. You have to have god-given mechanic abilities to make a powerstroke even smoke.

He needs to plug them stacks with a couple old Halloween pumkins and check for leaks.
