One of my mowing customers lives right on the beach. We installed his lawn last fall (sod). I tried to talk him out of grass in such a harsh environment, but he insisted. Then he asked me to maintain it and he is willing to do whatever it takes to keep it in tip-top shape. The problem is the salt water bath the lawn got a few weeks ago when the ocean came up over the sea wall for a few hours. How should I rescue this lawn? I was thinking granulated gypsum, and water the heck out of it. But how much gypsum? And, is there anything else I can do?
