I have a 6 hp craftsman air compressor similar to the one in the link. It is capable of being wired to run off of 220 but the manual doesn't mention a word of how to do it even though the motor states to see owner's manual to rewire for 220. It is a ge motor. Does anyone have a compressor like this and have it wired for 220V? I need to see a schematic or something but I can't find anything. Help!!!

220v is just 2 110's

Open the box the cord goes into, there should be another hot wire to hook into there, Then you would need a 220 cord.

Somewhere on the motor or under a cover should be the wiring diagram for low voltage and high voltage.
