I was born and raised in Newport. I live in Florida now, but all of my family still lives in Middletown, Portsmouth and Tiverton areas. And Fall River MA. Just wanted to say 'hey'. I miss it up there, but a much longer season here!

I have a question for all of you from R.I. and Mass. I am seriously debating whether to relocate back to R.I., for personal reasons, mostly family, and there health. Now hopefully you can answer me honestly and not think of me as the competition. What is the market like up there with Lawn and Landscaping businesses? I know the season is shorter then here in Jax, FL. Do you all make a descent living with what you do? Is there a big demand for it?
Lawn and Landscaping and Pressure Washing is what I do, and I love doing it. If I do relocate back home, I want to be sure that I can continue to do this and not have to go work for "the man". I would like to start to develop some relationships with you local guys up there and kind of get a feel for it. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I'm going through a tough time right now with the folks and their health, and I can't stand to be so far away and feeling helpless down here.
So if anyone can help or just throw out some advise or info, it would mean alot to me. Thank guys/girls!

I'm lookin to get something small, just a little 4cylinder is all i need. Preferably a standard 4x4. Something reliable. Maybe a late 90's tacoma, havent decided yet. I need to see how this season plays out before I can decide.

Mikes Landscaping,
If you don't mind my asking, what are you charging roughly for your accounts?
And how many accounts do you have as of now?
Thanks,
Jay

ohh, sorry it took me so long to get back to you, i didnt see the post. Around here, our accounts run anywhere from $20 to $35. These are all smaller lots though, no big ones. LAst year we had a few large ones which we charged around $40. As with the lawnboy, it runs like a champ ususally, but sometimes it acts up, and its the air filter. we just take it out and clean it up.

Sorry to threadjack here... but my post on the homeowner area wasn't getting the hits...

Anyone in the Attleboro area do mulch blowing? We need 8-10 yds blown in on a number of flowerbeds and a large play area and would hate to do it via wheelbarrow. Looking for estimates. Can anyone refer me to someone? Thanks.
