Just sign up for the duns # theres no charge for that. over time your file will build on its own.

Trimmasters is right, there is no charge for obtaining a Dunns number. With a dunns # you can also register with the CCR, (Central Contractors Registery), The CCR will place your name on a list of contractors making you eligible for contracts on State, Federal, Military, UN, and anybody else that is looking for a contractor in a specific area. Depending on the type of work you do, it could be way more than worth the $700 you mentioned, even tho its free.

how do you build on a duns number if no one will give you business credit to start out with.
