Its pouring down. I quit working at 1:00. I needed to trench through 6 driveways today, but I won't do it with the ground covered in snow, I don't need a mud pit.

Phoned my brother in Spokane about two hours ago and he said they got their first snow today also. Raining pretty good down here right now with winter storm warnings up in the Sierras.

My gawd,
What a bunch of whiners. -10 today and the same tomorrow. A chance we might get to 25 late next week. Guess the sprinkler season might be over!

LOL... Guess that's why my dad's family all moved from the Dakotas back in the 30's.

"The Dakotas?" C'mon, you're perpetuating that inferiority complex that North Dakota suffers by lumping it together with its more celebrated neighbor to the immedite south. Give 'em a break!

May be why some of our family still quarrels a lot. Part are from the north and part are from the south. One great-great uncle had a farm that stretched across the border between the two.

I sure wish you guys would get in sync with us up here in the north! :p
I also can't figure out how this "gravity thingy" works either. Since you guys are on the bottom of the globe I'd think you'd get all our water draining out all over the place down there and be lush and green all over. Instead, you've got mostly desert outback. :D

When we flush the crapper the water spins down in the opposite direction down here too. Speaking of crappers how come you guys have so much water up there that you can afford to piss in your baths..........:dizzy:

Please don't think we all pee in our bathtubs. Bobby Gedd is a "unique" person and where he comes up with all that stuff is really unknown. I think he goes off his meds from time to time.

Although some areas do use treated sewer water for irrigation systems it does NOT come directly from Bobby Gedd's bathtub. :dizzy:

John,
Went pheasant hunting in South Dakota a couple of weeks ago for the first time, LOVE your country up there! Temp. here in MICH. also high in the low 20's and 4" of snow on the ground, finished last winterizations last week and calling it quits for the season. Just wondering on your opinion on buying some acreage in North Dakota for hunting, couldn't believe how cheap land is up there!
Sprinklerhead... or anyone else in our area... you still taking new calls? I can't seem to charge enough not to have to do them but I'd rather be done for the year and send this people that are still calling out of the yellow pages to somebody else

Well, I ended up with about 8" of snow. Shoveled 4" twice yesterday. News report says the storm coming in tuesday and Wednesday COULD be a heavy big storm. Now if I just had by snowblower working. Didn't work last year either. What a lazy a$$, huh?

I got a foot here myself...but I only shovel the decks..although I did go shovel 2 driveways for a realtor today!
Headed to "town" tomorrow to winterize a house...the plumbing of a house....wow! I get a hell of a lot more to do that than I do a sprinkler system....but my risk is probably greater eh?
Dana, got your message, in the middle of a fence build..I should free up later in the week, only have a gate to build and I'm done.
The storm on Tuesday is supposed to be a southerly upslope storm..you know what that means right?
Coool!

Means we are going to get hammered!!! One of my rental property managers left a message here half hour ago with 3 properties they just took over and need them shut down. Hell if they ain't shut down, things are broken. But I'll do what I can in the morning.
Call me if you want assistance. Free of charge even!! Never had a full home winterization to do.

Winterizing a house, dont use the tow behind compressor unless you have a filter to catch the oil.

For some reason I was thinking "drip pan" instead of "filter" when I first read your response and began wondering which room of the house you would most likely set the compressor up in. :D
